Harris’s Antelope Squirrel

A Harris’s Antelope Squirrel nibbling away on some flowers. In Southeastern Arizona, two species of ground squirrels are often encountered; the round-tailed, and harris’s antelope squirrel. I have never seen the round-tailed variety in any habitat aside from flat, sandy desert. The antelope squirrel, however seems almost exclusive to rocky habitat. Saguaro National Park West, AZ.
